2 character conversation with flashbacks
What is the aim of a 2 person conversation?
A film maker uses a two person conversation to show the relation between the 2 characters or highlighting important points or moving the narrative forward these are some of the most common reasons to include this.
why include a flashback?
The reason a film maker may use a flashback is to create a visual image of an event happening and this is more interesting than just watching to people talking with each other. This also follows the Rule: show, don't tell
For example:
The water horse - 0:00 - 2:30
Family Guy - 0:00 - 0:38
In this flashback the film maker is trying to make the audience see the humour within the scene
Your task:
- write a simple piece of dialogue between 2 characters
- plan the shots your going to use
- film them
- edit then together seamlessly to achieve the final result
Include
- clean audio
- over the shoulder
- interesting topic
