3 point lighting

what is it and why we use it

3 point lighting is used to properly light up the main focus within the frame and to make the image aesthetically pleasing.

This image uses 3 point lighting with the key light on the left (making the character bright and visible), fill light on the right (so his face doesn't look to dark and one sided) and the back light behind him (window)
